LIFT-OFF: A Personal Development and Self-Care Programme

“I was surprised by the accuracy of the personality discovery report. I identified with so many of the points made. I tend to focus on what I see as the negative sides of my personality and dismiss or disbelieve in what other people would call my positive points.
Reading the colour personality report was enjoyable and enlightening. Having it all in a written form that I can keep has made it easier to accept that I do have positive points and I should happily accept them rather than arguing against them and concentrating on my negatives.
I learnt that I am the person I am and I’m also much more than that. I’m complex and multilayered and that is a good thing which I should celebrate more.
I realised I like me more than I thought, and this has helped me to appreciate myself more and to ‘lighten up.’
Life is exciting and enjoyable, and I’d forgotten that. If felt ‘all spent’ with nothing left to offer the world. But looking at my personality report and spending time with Sheila has brought back my sense of purpose, my love of life and waking up to excitement each morning rather than dread.
I intend to be kinder to myself; I will count my opinions and feelings as worthwhile and relevant. I won’t let people ‘take advantage’ of me because of my low self-esteem and I will enjoy life and accept that I deserve to enjoy life as much as anyone else.
I realise I can contribute to the world around me more positivity than negativity and feel like I have a second chance at life which I am ready to grab with both hands and enjoy.

“I started this programme with low self-esteem, self-worth and little self-confidence. I had been out of work for 5 years and felt very isolated and had been stuck in one of the many troughs of life for a long time. Lift Off helped me identify my values and highlighted what was truly important to me.
It has given me the confidence to believe that I can set up my own business and that I deserve to! I want to say a sincere thank you to Sheila for giving me extra time and support to think deeper about who I am and to help me feel comfortable with myself. You have enabled me to change my life for the better.”

Claire Kussey

“Lift-Off takes you out of your comfort zone in a positive way. I have gained confidence and self-esteem and I’m now looking forward to new challenges and gaining new skills from being a Children’s Centre volunteer.”
Emma Whitby

“This personality report is spot on for me. It’s unbelievable. It made me feel like I can breathe slightly better seeing who I am in writing. Thank you so much.”
Natalia Sukhram

“Lift Off has changed my life in so many ways and all for the better. What I will do differently in the future is turn negative thoughts into a positive attitude. This course was the best thing I have done.”

COLOUR-ME-CONFIDENT: Confidence-boosting Style and Wardrobe Review Session

“I have known Sheila Caulfield for approximately five years. In 2016 I invited Sheila to speak to my Women’s Institute on her subject COLOUR. Sheila proved to be passionate, interesting and very knowledgeable about this topic and members requested follow up workshops. Sheila offered individual analysis with practical activities to determine participants’ colour palettes. This was fascinating and thoroughly enjoyed by those taking part in the group discussion and the realisation that colour influences all aspects of life such as mood, confidence and behaviour.
Interestingly, I have noticed a marked change in one of my quiet, reticent members in that she is now more confident and is prepared to speak up at meetings. Unknown to me at the time, this lady had been having individual sessions with Sheila. I think this result really says it all !!!!!!!
I can recommend Sheila with confidence.”

Freda Wilkinson, Chair, Sheldwich On The Green WI

“This session exceeded my expectations. It was perfect learning about colour in a group. Just one hour with Sheila has changed how I look at myself, my colours and my style. I can’t wait to learn more when we next meet.”
Angela Coleman, Sheldwich WI on the Green

“I so enjoyed the lunch together with my friends in my home. I must say how much the ladies and I enjoyed our workshop with you regarding colours and style. It has certainly made a difference to me. I have a different attitude to what I wear each day. I now think about what I am doing that day and how I want my presence to be felt. I don’t work, so don’t want power. I socialise a lot so I’m now choosing colours that make me feel happy and lively and it’s working. I can’t wait until I have lost a bit more weight so that I can go clothes shopping again. I’m going to have a fantastic wardrobe which is complimentary to me, and I’m hoping to find that I won’t be buying things I would not wear that are impulsive buys so I’m not going to waste money too…. bonus!
Thank you Sheila for making a difference to my life”.

Gloria Parkinson

“It was lovely to meet you last night. I would like to thank you for your very entertaining session last night. All the ladies thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and we had some good feedback.”
Vivienne Murton, Seasalter Cross WI

LIFT OFF IN BUSINESS: A Personal Development and Confidence Programme

“Lift-Off for business has been a complete eye-opener, both personally and how it affects my business. I feel like I have been given a unique insight into my personality and how it affects my business moving forward. It’s like having a secret weapon on my side!
I’ve learnt that I have been afraid to be my true self and now plan to take control of my business by being more assertive and looking after myself from learning how to chunk things down into perspective.”

Lisa. East Sussex County Council SWIFT Programme

“Being a newly Registered Manager I had a hundred ideas floating around inside my head. Sheila’s facilitated session with me helped me gain confidence to agree a set of values and a vision with my team and to instil these into their everyday practice. It empowered me to identify solutions and how to approach them and Sheila’s calming and relaxing approach to the session helped me to create a ‘learning map’ which I often refer to when my mind feels a little fogged. The session has supported me to develop my skills as a manager which in turn has supported the development of the team. Thank you, Sheila!!”
Manager, The Chiltern Centre (Social Care)

COLOUR, CONFIDENCE AND STYLE: Making Your Business Image Work for You

“I was at the time in my life where I was losing direction both in what I was wearing and how I was feeling. Sheila is such a lovely person and easy to interact with. I felt instantly at ease with her. I now understand myself better and feel more confident about what colours and styles I can wear to be the ‘real’ me. I would encourage anyone to enjoy this fun session. It has been a real journey of discovery for me, I have learnt so much about myself and It’s changed me and my business for the better!!”

FLIGHT PATH: A Customer Service and Leadership Programme to Give Front-line Teams a Smoother Path to Success

“Flight Path empowered supervisors to work as a team and increased generic working within the rest of Facilities. The reason that we are here is for the patient and the team focused on this and took into consideration the negatives of the job and turned them into positives. Supervisors introduced a communication book for all to complete on all ward areas and set up open forums to communicate to the staff that work unusual hours, so all staff are captured and then feel that communication is ongoing. They also understand and have developed skills in treating all as individuals and not as a collective body.”
Debby Monckton, Head of Estates and Facilities, Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust

“Sheila Caulfield was one half of the successful team that supported the delivery of the Get On Local Government Campaign ¬– the Skills for Life national programme between 2005 and 2008 for the Improvement and Development Agency for local government. This national programme worked with over 250 councils covering a workforce of over 500,000 employees in England. Sheila Caulfield provided excellent client liaison and support to help drive up standards across the local government workforce in literacy, language and numeracy. Sheila’s personal drive, enthusiasm and commitment helped councils successfully project manage and take action to embed a whole organisational approach to addressing workforce literacy, language and numeracy (skills for life). I would have no hesitation in working with Sheila again as she provides an astute approach to problem solving in the public sector coupled with a warmth and personable approach that engages chief executives and front-line staff alike.”
Nigel Carruthers, Senior Advisor Local Government Association

“I have been fortunate to work with Sheila during the last five years. Sheila was commissioned to develop a business planning process, including nationally recognised training opportunities for the Social Enterprise of which I am Chair. Sheila has outstanding communication skills across a wide audience, with those that are unfamiliar or not confident with business models and strategic planning for successful outcomes. This work followed a successful bid for funding that required organisational change including change for employees, volunteers and designing and delivering educational pathways for very vulnerable people. The benefit of her knowledge, experience and skills has enabled those far from education to achieve educational qualifications recognised nationally. The outcome for the organisation was a business planning process that has contributed to further funding successes and lasting benefit for the organisation and service users. I have absolute confidence that Sheila is an experienced change agent, an excellent communicator and someone who will commit to delivering the commission.”
Jan Collins MBE, Chair, Millmead Children’s Centres Partnership Limited

“Flight Path has made me put myself into the patient experience and see things through their eyes and made us, as a team, feel valued and to continue to evolve as a service.”
Manager, Works Team, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital,London

It is always a pleasure to work with Sheila, with her professionalism and good understanding of Home-Start and the ethos of our work.”
